How many polarity modes are available on the ATLAS Thermal Binocular?
The ATLAS Thermal Binocular offers 4 different polarity modes including White Hot, Black Hot, Thermal Color, and a unique Edge Detect mode not found on any other commercially available thermal binoculars.
At what range do you claim the ATLAS Thermal Binocular can detect the heat signature of a human head while floating in the water?

Based on our observations under different conditions we are reasonably confident that a man’s head sized heat signature would be detectable in the water up to approximately 1000 meters away. However, we do not pretend to claim a specific range for this type of incident.
We, just like everybody else, base our detection (as well as recognition and identification) ranges off of the US Army DRI model for detection of a standard man size figure.

There are no industry/military accepted DRI modeling tools for man overboard conditions. This is one of the reasons we don’t specify what it is or may be. Ranges of detection are influenced by many environmental factors such as water temperature, moisture levels in the air, the size of the individual / object being identified, the qualification level of the observer, etc. In cases of a man overboard recovery, the height of the waves and elevation of the observation point from the sea level are also very important.

What is included in the ATLAS Thermal Binocular Kit?
The ATLAS Thermal Binocular Kit includes and ATLAS Thermal Binocular, Rugged Carrying Case, Neck Strap, Lens Cover, and Lens Cleaning Kit.
How long is the battery life for the ATLAS Thermal Binocular?
The ATLAS Thermal Binocular’s (3) CR-123 batteries provide a continuous operating life of approximately 4 hours.
How much does the ATLAS Thermal Binocular weigh?
The ATLAS Thermal Binocular weighs 575g / 20.2 oz.
Is there a price difference between the 9Hz and 60Hz models of the ATLAS Thermal Binocular?
No. The price is the same for both the 9Hz and 60Hz models of the ATLAS Thermal Binocular.
What is the ATLAS Thermal Binocular’s Field of View?
The ATLAS Thermal Binocular’s Field of View is 9″ x 7″.

Whether docked at the marina, at anchor, or underway, ATLAS Thermal Binoculars assure ship security by effectively detecting threats to ship and crew safety.
